Behind the Scenes with ARD: The Impact of Climate on Glaciers

In early November, just before the first heavy snowfall covered the Alps, I had the unique chance to team up with a crew from the well-known German TV channel ARD. We focused on creating a documentary that sheds light on the profound effects of climate change on glaciers. This documentary not only highlights the Glaciers.Today project but also includes insights from Matthis Huss, a respected Professor of Glaciology at ETH, about the uncertain future of these icy giants. During our filming, we discovered a significant new landslide on the Tschierva Glacier – a clear result of thawing permafrost.
