Forces of Nature meet glaciers.today

During the night from Friday to Saturday, a storm ripped one of our solar panels from its mountings—the source of power for our camera equipment. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the unbridled power of nature and highlights the challenges we face in our work in the Alps.

We are already in the process of arranging replacements and developing a more robust mounting system. Until they are reinstalled, the cameras will be operated on a one-hour cycle to conserve energy.

This challenge is part of a complex undertaking that requires not only technical expertise but also resilience to weather conditions. Our openness during these times is a sign of our commitment to transparency and sustainability.

Any support is a huge help to us and enables us to continue the project and document the changes in the glaciers over the long term with stunning photographs.
